interview
Can you tell us something about your hometown and growing up?
My born place is a small fishing village facing Ariake-sea in Kyushu. A famous poet Kitahara Hakushu was born near there. The atmosphere of the village was calm but vivid and has fragrance of the beach. Now I live a place a big town, near base of a mountain in a fine view from my flat. The residents in this area are friendly and warm. It's ideal place suitable for a versification by the quiet environment.
The true purpose of art is to uplift humankind, inspire reverence and morality, and instill in people’s hearts a true sense of beauty?
I believe that the art searches the beauty either the intelligence which exists in the human depths, expressed the impression from the life, and takes love and mercy out from inside of oneself, touches others, and all those unite into the art and link to world peace
Can you tell me something about your cooperation with Mariko Sumikura?
Though She is very intellectual, but she is a lady full of humane feeling without a fragment of coercion. The person who is also intelligence and the owner of vitality who possesses the gentleness at the same time and also challenges the undeveloped field positively, she is very attractive. When everyone has a chance to meet her, I'm sure they will hope to learn from her in all faces.
You recently published a book "Duet of Crimson"Japan Universal Poets Association ?
Contemplation on Consciousness of Life?
Or it may be so. Various feeling is also evoked in nature and the human relations as human feeling occasionally evokes various feelings like as one listens to music, sees a movie, and appreciated paintings. I tried to create my collection of poetry as such movement of heart as a scenario written.
What can you tell us about your work, prizes, journeys and friendships?
Work My routine work in a day is spent on poetry. I write authors who gave me poetry books, and I send my poems to coterie magazine.
A prize Masao Fukuda prize, Jiji Press prize and Kyodo News prize, twice, are Shiga-ken literature festival special selection, more than 10 times of winning of the prize, Rofu Miki incentive award, a literature modern poetry prize fine work of ideas, Hikone literature special selection and approximately 25 times of winning of the prize 3 prizes of western Japan.
Traveling I liked historical buildings and natural landscape, also I am interested in a different culture. I have been France, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia and Italy so far.
Do you think you have outwitted the expectations?
Mariko Sumikura who translated my immature poetry and Duet, I thank Tatjana. She arranged a picture of the crimson plum blossoms which I love so much. It is a wonderful book, I am glad to have. Poetry of Tatjana and mine are matching in the theme, I felt the power of editors.
Is there anything that you could pinpoint and tell us about yourself between dreams and reality?
Turning my eyes to my actual life, I had a lot of trials . But I believe an affair seen as the minus to give the power to view a dream and sublimated them in my works.
Because I think if I were happy enough, I never escaped to a dream, nor have a delusion . If I spent happy marriage and blessed with me, these poems were not created.
Most of artists might be in the same trail which produced a masterpiece with suffering.
What are your plans for the future creative work?
There are no days when a poem isn't composed. There are so many poems I have written and kept. At the end of this year, I'm planning to publish again. Next time is the collection of poems and the so-called history which settled on something which should also be called my roots. Seventy years of age is met in dusk and thinks it'll be good commemoration. I think it'll be the commemoration by which seventy years of age is met in dusk and it's preferred, and, now.
Haruka Ishii’s career in a few years?
Whether it's the end of this year will publish immediately next year at the latest, and I'll ask again to Mariko Sumikura to publish them, and 4-5 collections of poems in order is made.
Is there anything that you could pinpoint and tell us about yourself between the dream and reality?
A life wasn't blessed with a marriage partner about itself and my daughter lost him, too and it was pinched continuation. I think the anguish which can be twisted off received the one a work reflected or a large number of praise about literature. Even with otium cum dignitate, yes, when I'd like even to write realization, a life of happy one person is being enjoyed by the freedom which can be written.
Have you achieved everything you have ever wanted to and if you could live your life again would you be an artist again?
Even if it's reborn, I don't know whether you participate in creation. Because tomorrow won't be also understood, how would I do the the next life?
If it's possible, if I would be born a beauty and get married to the multimillionaire with clear and kind brain. So I could composes a poem on it, and also enjoy paintings. That’s wonderful...
Is there anything you would like to say that you think is important and that I haven’t asked you?
If there is a person who encounters pain at present now, I'd like to say to the one. When I want you to exert itself without leaving a request, because the day when even the darkness by which it seems whether continues clears up certainly eternally comes. I hope as to connect a hand and go to peace without and a person's of all over the world cutting off.
Haruka, thank-you! It was a great pleasure talking to you and you are always welcome to our house "Diogen pro culture magazine”.
