DIOGEN SUMMER CONTEST FOR HAIKU, SENRYU, TANKA AND HAIGA 2013.
Deadline: July 31, 2013 Up to 5 haiku, and/or, senrju, tanka, haiga. You may send all forms, no more than 5 of each! Theme: SUMMER IN THE TOWN Write about a town, its neighborhood, bridges, rivers, towers, churches, mosques, cathedrals, parks and the sky above. How do you see yourself among glass skyscrapers? Has the urban way of life become a natural way of life in the 21st century? Statistics say, six thousand years after the foundation of the first town, for the first time more people live in more urban areas than rural ones. Think of Bashō – if he just could wander around today's Tokyo, Jerusalem, Sarajevo, Zagreb or London; think of Thoreau (Walden) and his return to nature by the middle of the nineteenth century, for he was burdened with the too quick changes in the way of living brought on by the industrial revolution. We want you to write haiku, senryu, haiga and tanka and send them from all the continents, so that way we exchange and share, put onto paper (internet) our experiences and a portrait of our planet in the second decade of the twenty first century. And please do not forget, haiku is a way of living and connecting with our (urban) environment. E-mail: [email protected]

DIOGENOV LJETNI NATJEČAJ/KONKURS ZA HAIKU, SENRJU, TANKU I HAJGU
Rok 31.7.2013. Tema: LJETO U GRADU Do 5 haiku i/ili senrju, tanki ili hajgi Pišite o ljetu u gradu, naselju, njegovom susjedstvu, mostovima, rijekama tornjevima, crkvama, džamijama, katedralama, parkovima… kako sebe doživljavate među staklima nebodera. Postaje li urbani način života – prirodan način života čovjeka 21. stoljeća. Jer, kažu statističari, punih šest tisuća godina nakon osnivanja prvog grada, po prvi puta više stanovnika živi u urbanim no u ruralnim sredinama. Zamislite Bashoa – da može putovati današnjim Tokiom ili Jeruzalemom, Sarajevom, Zagrebom ili Londonom, zamislite sebe kao čovjeka koji se poput Thoreaua (Walden) vratio prirodi sredinom 19. stoljeća, jer ga je opterećivala (pre)brza promjena načina života, vezana na industrijsku revoluciju! A danas? Želja nam je da sa svih kontinenata, uz pomoć haiku, senrju, hajgi, i tanki razmijenimo i podijelimo, prenesemo na papir (internet) doživljaje i portret svog (urbanog) Planeta u drugoj dekadi dvadesetiprvog vijeka, pri tom ne zaboravivši, haiku je način življenja i povezivanja pojedinca sa svojom (urbanom, također) okolinom.
